Photo Diary: South Beach

With chillier temps heading our way, I feel compelled to share some photos from my road trip down to South Beach this past summer. It was one of those spur-of-the-moment type adventures, but in my opinion, those are often the best kind. Alex and I hopped in the car one Saturday morning with no destination in sight, and decided upon reaching Miami that this would be where our vacation began. We were able to snag a stunning beachside hotel with not only phenomenal ocean views, but truly impeccable service. All of our bags were carried up to the room for us, and after minimal unpacking, Alex and I set off to explore. We ate until our stomachs hurt, laughed until we cried, and came back with skin at least four shades darker than when we had left. Traffic aside, South Beach is a truly wonderful place full of exquisite food, magnificent beaches, and a vibrant art scene.

Our gorgeous room at The Savoy Hotel. The decor was very modern, as most of South Beach is, but the space was extremely cozy. Breakfast was delicious and you can’t beat the view!

One of our favorite locations in South Beach was Wynwood Walls. This is a free, public art display created by some of the most talented artists in the world (pro tip: they also make great backdrops for selfies). Definitely something you should check out if you are ever in the area!

As far as the nightlife goes, we spent the majority of our time sipping on the fruitiest cocktails we could find at the Clevelander Hotel, which conveniently doubles as a nightclub. If you are looking for a happenin’ beachside venue dance the night away, then this is your spot. Seriously, I don’t think these people ever sleep.

Until we meet again, South Beach.
